1	Morning: Arrival in Auckland, travel to Rotorua (2.5 hours). Afternoon: Introduction to New Zealand and program.
2	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Māori culture workshop and language.
3	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Natural history quiz at Auckland Museum.
4	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Virtual reality marine science in New Zealand experience.
5	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Marine science along the rocky shore intertidal zone.
6	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Travel to Tauranga (2.5 hours). Stay the night in Tauranga.
7 Weekend	Morning: Whale and dolphin watching. Afternoon: Climb Mount Maunganui. Stay the night in Tauranga.
8 Weekend	Morning: Visit Hot Water Beach in the Coromandel. Afternoon: Explore Cathedral Cove. Travel back to Auckland (2.5 hours).
9	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Lecture on invasive marine species in New Zealand.
10	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Marine science workshop or oyster tour.
11	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Workshop on freshwater science and testing.
12	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Volunteer dune planting.
13	Morning: Attend classes at school (8.30am – 3.30pm). Afternoon: Graduation ceremony from school.
14	All day: Visit a movie set for the connection between arts and nature.
15	Departure from Auckland.

1 Auckland	Morning: Arrival in Auckland, stay the night in Auckland. Afternoon: Introduction to New Zealand and program. Evening: Visit the Auckland Museum and complete a task. Stay the night in Auckland.
2 Auckland	Morning: Visit a marae. Afternoon: Tawharanui Regional Park guided beach walk and kiwi search. Stay the night in Auckland.
3 Auckland	Morning: Goat Island Marine Discovery Centre workshop. Afternoon: Glass bottom boat marine reserve tour. Stay the night in Auckland.
4 Hamilton	Morning: Virtual reality marine science in New Zealand experience. Travel from Auckland to Hamilton (2 hours). Afternoon: Freshwater science lecture. Stay the night in Hamilton.
5 Hamilton	Morning: Kayak experience along the coastline. Afternoon: Freshwater science data collection and analysis. Stay the night in Hamilton.
6 Hamilton	Morning: Lecture on geological and marine processes. Afternoon: Visit Waitomo Caves geological features. Travel from Hamilton to Tauranga (1.5 hours) and stay the night.
7 Tauranga	Morning: Whale watching in Tauranga Harbour. Afternoon: Marine science lecture. Stay the night in Tauranga
8 Tauranga	Morning: Lecture on coastal New Zealand dunes and ecology. Afternoon: Climb Mount Maunganui to observe coastal processes and spend afternoon volunteering planting dunes along the bay. Stay the night in Tauranga
9 Whakatane	Travel from Tauranga to Whakatane (1 hour). Morning: Lecture on rocky shore tidal marine ecology. Afternoon: Beach workshop and data collection on rocky shore. Stay the night in Whakatane.
10 Rotorua	Travel from Tauranga to Whakatane (1 hour). Morning: Lecture on geothermal and geology. Afternoon: Visit Te Puia geothermal geysers and a hangi meal and cultural show. Stay the night in Rotorua.
11 Taupo	Travel from Rotorua to Taupo (1 hour). Morning: Visit Māori rock carvings on Lake Taupo. Afternoon: Walk to Huka Falls and observe the river. Stay the night in Taupo.
12 Taupo	Morning: Lecture on aquaculture. Afternoon: Visit the Tongariro National Trout Centre. Stay the night in Taupo.
13 Auckland	Travel from Taupo to Auckland (3.5 hours). Afternoon: Overview lecture on the learnings from the program. Stay the night in Auckland.
14 Auckland	Full day: Visit Waiheke Island and volunteer with a local Māori ocean project for the day. Stay the night in Auckland.
15	Morning: Final presentations of research project. Departure from Auckland.
